Linux Fund is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to helping the Open Source community with funding and organizational issues. Linux Fund has been a long time supporter of LinuxFest Northwest and the concept of inexpensive community sponsored Open Source events like LinuxFest Northwest. Other Linux Fund programs include:

  1. BSDFund – A special fund that provides provides financial and advisory support to BSD-related projects.
  2. LinuxFund/FOSSFA – A partnership with an African NGO to help spread Open Source software in Africa.
  3. gEDA/PCB – An Open Hardware project.
  4. Special funds to help a number of Open Source projects including gnash, inkscape, and vector section.
  5. Open.org – An effort to purchase and develop this domain for the benefit of the Open Source community.
